The Night Before Departure
If you don't know who or what someone or something is, click the little [?] next to his/her/its name. So I leave tomorrow. Today, technically. Of course I'm excited. But I'm also sort of... not scared, exactly. I guess just anticipatorily unsettled. I'm pre-emptively missing everything, you know? I guess it also just feels like everything is happening in really short sequence, in terms of growing up. I mean, I turned eighteen, then graduated two weeks later, and now two weeks after that I'm going away for a big ol' grown up job. It's sort of a lot.

I'll level with you-- I cried and cried and cried. And it being Independence Day makes it all so surreal... everything is exploding outside, and as lame as it sounds, everything is exploding inside too.
The moon here is orange. It's raining in Washington. Same moon, though.
In a moon frame of mind, I'll close with this song that my friend Simon gave me:
I see the moon, and the moon sees me, and the moon sees the evie that I want to see.
So God bless the moon, and god bless me, and god bless the evie that I want to see.
