Biking

I went for a forty-minute bikeride when we got home today. It was really terrific; a bike, an iPod, and a nice woodsy trail are an excellent combination. The only small issue was the unfortunate appearance of my longtime foe: hills. Despite my big-city leanings, I am a Midwestern girl, and hills are a strange creature to which I am unaccostomed. When I come across them on the trail I react as does the doggie who's trotting through the forest, content as cotton candy, when he comes across a skunk: what is this, and why is it spoiling my fun? In short, I cannot tell a lie: I did a little walking. But it was still really great.

The NPR thing was also great but it's dinnertime now so I'll tell you about that tomorrow.
